From Customizations and Workarounds to a Stronger NetSuite Operating Core
Avanti Restaurant Solutions needed NetSuite to support a complex order lifecycle spanning purchasing, warehousing, fulfillment, and field installation. The DORIAN Group strengthened the platform through more than 32 deployed improvements, connecting five stages of delivery and making critical information easier to act on.

The Challenge
NetSuite supports business-critical work across Avanti's operation, but years of custom scripts, integrations, and specialized workflows had introduced friction into the system.
Teams needed clearer visibility into purchase orders and individual sales-order lines. Shipment tracking required stronger data integrity, installer documentation involved too much manual effort, and warehouse teams needed additional NetSuite capabilities in production.
The same prior customization work also affected system responsiveness. Logins took an average of 40 seconds to reach the home screen, and sales orders loaded just as slowly. In a fast-moving business, that friction kept teams from completing routine work.
Avanti did not need a new ERP. It needed NetSuite to work more reliably around the way orders move through the business.
Our Approach
The DORIAN Group worked across NetSuite configuration, SuiteScript, Suitelets, workflows, integrations, and production support. Rather than treating each request as an isolated fix, the team focused on strengthening the flow of information and work across Avanti's order lifecycle.
Stabilize Critical Processes
Purchase order tracking was rebuilt to address duplicate data, file reprocessing, field limitations, and other data-integrity issues. Additional validation, API safeguards, and error handling made the process more resilient.
The team also corrected or retired inefficient scripts affecting sales orders, purchase orders, tracking, and fulfillment. Third-party integration alerts were improved so errors reached the appropriate user with the context needed to act.
Improve Operational Visibility
Purchase order and sales-order trackers were expanded with line-level detail, shipment information, delivery dates, status visibility, and Excel exports. Sales-order and quote forms were aligned, while role-specific access made relevant information easier for each team to find.
Core NetSuite WMS and Ship Central capabilities were also implemented in production, creating a stronger platform for warehouse and shipping operations.
Support the Work Where It Happens
For installation teams, The DORIAN Group built a checklist workflow generated directly from selected sales-order lines. Installers can filter and sort items, account for accessories, produce PDF and Excel files, store supporting documents, and distribute completed checklists by email.
Customer-facing workflows were refined as well. Improvements to order history, payment methods, merchant fees, checkout calculations, shipping information, and production URLs created a more consistent e-commerce experience.
Stabilize
Enhanced the performance of critical scripts, tracking processes, and integrations.
Connect
Improved visibility across purchasing, shipping, warehousing, and fulfillment.
Enable
Created practical workflows for installers, operational teams, and customers.
The Outcome
Through 32 completed or deployed improvements, Avanti strengthened the NetSuite workflows connecting purchasing, warehouse operations, fulfillment, installation, and the customer experience.
Teams now have more dependable information at the point of work. Operations users can review purchase orders and sales orders at the item level, warehouse teams have core WMS and shipping capabilities in production, and installers can generate project documentation directly from sales-order data.
Critical processes are more resilient too. Shipment tracking includes stronger validation and error handling, integration issues reach the right users with actionable context, sales-order and quote workflows are more closely aligned, and inefficient scripts have been corrected or retired. Login and sales-order performance improved by roughly 77%.
Rather than adding another layer of work around the ERP, Avanti made NetSuite more useful to the teams already relying on it. The result is a stronger operating core for moving orders from purchase through delivery and installation.
After five years of development, three software development partners, and hundreds of customizations, our NetSuite instance was running slowly and needed a pro to tune it up. The efficiencies we had created in customizations were offset by growing lag times after every click. Through a combination of rewriting prior work to run more efficiently, and supporting additional development needs, The DORIAN Group made significant improvements to speed up our teams.
